Partners of the Casa de CinemaRGE-GOVERNO RS CONTEST
A contest coordinated by Fundacine/RS, sponsored by Rio Grande Energia and Governo do Estado do RS for the production of feature films in Rio Grande do Sul. TOLERANCE, by Carlos Gerbase, was one of the winners of the first edition of the contest, in 1998. THE MAN WHO COPIED, by Jorge Furtado, was one of the winners of the 2nd edition of the contest, in 2001.IECINE PRIZE
Annual short film contest, organized by the State’s Film Institute, an organ of the Rio Grande do Sul State Government. In its 8 editions, it has already financed the production of 36 short films, including 12 films from the collection of the Casa de Cinema de Porto Alegre.FUMPROARTE
A highly democratic and transparent funding mechanism which finances cultural projects for the Porto Alegre City Council. Since 1994, the Fumproarte has funded over 300 projects, among which are 32 short and medium length films, including the finalisation of ÂNGELO ANDA SUMIDO / ANGELO HAS VANISHED (by Jorge Furtado). The project CURTAS GAÚCHOS EM VÍDEO / GAUCHO SHORTS ON VIDEO will be partly funded by Fumproarte.FUNARTE'S CTAv
The Audio-visual Technical Centre, which now belongs to Funarte, but which used to be part of Embrafilme, FCB and IBAC, continues to be a partner of anyone making ART MOVIES in Brazil.

Co-producers of our medium length documentary VENTRE LIVRE (by Ana Luiza Azevedo). Giba Assis Brasil and Jorge Furtado have grants from the MacArthur Foundation to work on the project of the documentary O POVO E O EM NOME DO POVO / THE PEOPLE AND WHAT IS DONE IN ITS NAME.
