A well-to-do housewife has her life shaken
by a series of anonymous letters she receives periodically, one more obscene
than the other. First, she believes the sender is a complete stranger,
then she starts suspecting her husband’s friends. But she dare not talk
to her husband about the letters or their content: she seems anxious, thinking
about suicide, and she is always waiting for the mail to arrive.

"Slowly, patiently (which is rare) inducing the viewer to participate in
the gentle anguish that torments and caresses the character, Henkin impregnates
his movie with elegant eroticism. It is a sober narrative, without excesses,
which seduces the viewer without surprising him, like an invitation by
candlelight. The implicit sensuality of the film resides in the way she
carries herself, in her hands and in the dreams that do not glow, but pass
like shadows through Imara Reis' eyes.
