ISLAND OF FLOWERS opens festival in Portugal
(24/Oct/2001)The Portuguese city of Porto was designated (along with Rotterdam) European Capital of Culture of 2001, and has presenting a number of special events to its population as well as to a great number of visitors. In the field of cinema they are holding the film festival “Odyssey of Images”, which fourth part begins on October 26th. This module is called “O Olhar de Ulisses” (Ulysses’ Look) and two films were selected to open it, a feature film and a short: “Dodeskaden” by Akira Kurosawa and “Island of Flowers” by Jorge Furtado.
