French magazine does 7 pages on Jorge Furtado

After
the 2nd World Social Forum, Porto Alegre remains a theme in Paris. The
magazine BREF, edited in the French capital, is known throughout Europe
as "the short films magazine". Issue number 52, which is now on sale (Spring
2002) has a cover headline for a seven page article on Jorge Furtado and
the productions of the Casa de Cinema de Porto Alegre. The main text, written
by Sylvie Delpech, is titled “Jorge Furtado, l'île aux courts" (the
island of shorts). There is also a text on the history of the Casa de Cinema,
a long interview with Jorge Furtado, a box with his filmography and another
one about “Des courts au Brésil” (shorts in Brazil), with mention
to the projects Curta nas Telas – Shorts on Screen (by Porto Alegre City
Council), Curta às seis – Shorts at six (by Petrobrás) and
Curtas gaúchos na TV – Rio Grande do Sul shorts on TV (RBS TV).
