DONA CRISTINA LOST HER MEMORY (but won the Pernambuco Festival)
(01/May/2003)"Dona Cristina Lost Her Memory ", directed by Ana Luiza Azevedo and produced by Casa de Cinema de Porto Alegre, was the big winner in the short film category at the Pernambuco Film Festival, which ended last night. The short film won the Best Film and Best Director awards, as well as the Special Award from the Brazilian Association of Film Directors. With the awards from Recife, “Dona Cristina” has already won 13 prizes, at the festivals of Gramado, Brasília and São Paulo.
In the feature film category, the great winner of Recife was the feature "Os Narradores de Javé", by Eliane Caffe, which won seven awards, including Best Film and Best Director.
