ANTES QUE O MUNDO ACABE / BEFORE THE WORLD ENDS receives funding from BNDES
(25/Nov/2004)The project BEFORE THE WORLD ENDS, by Casa de Cinema de Porto Alegre, directed by Ana Luiza Azevedo and written by Paulo Halm, based on Marcelo Carneiro da Cunha’s novel for teenagers, was among the 51 projects selected (31 fiction and 20 documentaries) to win funding from BNDES (Brazilian Development Bank) in 2004. BEFORE THE WORLD ENDS will receive 400 thousand reais from BNDES.
From the projects selected, 32 were from Rio de Janeiro, 10 from São Paulo, 2 from Rio Grande do Sul, 2 from Minas Gerais, 1 from Pernambuco, 1 from Bahia, 1 from the Federal District, 1 from Paraná and 1 from Ceará.
The other selected project from Rio Grande do Sul was the launching of the documentary "O Cárcere e a rua", by Liliana Sulzbach/Zeppelin Filmes, already exhibited and an award winner at the Gramado Film Festival.
