André, 20 anos, operador de fotocopiadora em uma papelaria, precisa desesperadamente de trinta e oito reais para impressionar a garota dos seus sonhos, Sílvia, que mora no prédio em frente e trabalha como balconista em uma loja de artigos femininos.
