UM HOMEM SÉRIO (A Serious Man)

(35 mm, 18 min, color, 1996)

Hilário Pestana, the most famous, funniest and, ironically, the saddest of Brazilian actors, has died. Hilário participated in several phases of Brazilian film history: the comedies, the Vera Cruz classics, the erotic comedies and experimental films. Audiences adored him, but all he wanted was to be a serious man.
